e-Publishing Systems: Build or Buy?
Every company's second line of business is publishing. This is true for both small organizations and large. Over time, every organization develops, adopts, and evolves technology and processes for content management and publishing. Often, these are "home grown" and change as the company does. ENTERPRISE REPORT MANAGEMENT: AN EBUSINESS SOLUTION
WHY IMPLEMENT AN ENTERPRISE REPORT MANAGEMENT E-BUSINESS WAREHOUSE?
Enterprise Report Management (ERM) is defined as an application for storing, indexing, retrieving, viewing, re-printing and electronically distributing formatted computer documents - internal computer reports and outbound customer bills and statements. ERM systems utilize object-oriented indexing software, high-performance server technology, workstations, and Internet browsers. They facilitate fast and easy delivery of electronic data documents to any user, in any location, by transforming existing formatted print output to standard HTML, XML or PDF Internet viewing formats. ERM technology, formerly called COLD -Computer Output to Laser Disk, has evolved from a simple document storage and retrieval solution to a key component in customer relationship management, knowledge management, business intelligence and corporate e-business initiatives. Enterprise Report Management offers an organization the opportunity to implement a single system that will improve business processes, provide better customer service, enable new customer self-service, expand the ability to market new products and services, and create the backbone for a corporate document portal.

Improving Customer Care in the Financial Services Industry through Automated Forms Capture
Automated forms capture can provide improved customer care by increasing the speed and accuracy with which customer information is processed by financial institutions. Despite the growing use of online data capture, the business world still relies heavily on paper for account applications and other transactions. An estimated $15 billion dollars is spent each year in the United States to key in and validate data. Considerable savings could be achieved by automating this process. But the real value of automated data capture extends beyond speed and economy to its role in enhancing business processes.
