A Great Time at The Skellig
If you weren’t in the Back Room at the Skellig on September 11th, you missed a fun time, some good food and enough information from the leadership of the Chapter to get positively excited about 2012-13!
Steve Weissman announced a few new things the Chapter is doing in 2012 to serve our members better. For starters, he reminded everyone about our presence on Facebook and Twitter. He also announced that we will be featuring a “Member of the Month” throughout the year.
Steve also mentioned a new way in which you can help the Chapter. All of our events this year will feature a “Support the Chapter” pricing option that will be a little higher than what is required to cover our costs. AIIM NE isn’t trying to turn a profit, but these events are costly to produce. AIIM NE event ticket revenue goes completely to the support of the Chapter program.
Dan Antion followed Steve by laying out the program of events planned for 2012-13. We are going to put this out in a series of updates on this website and our Facebook page, but our next event will be on Tuesday, October 23rd. AIIM International will be bringing their famous Boot Camp, which is gearing up to help you win the battle over paper.
Following that event, AIIM New England will finish the afternoon with an event titled “Why Social? Why Me? Why Now?” which will focus on the use of Social Media within organizations. Stay tuned for more information about this and other events in the near future.
