New Year’s Eve

AIIM New England recently closed the books on the 2011-12 Chapter year, and we are pretty happy with the results. The Chapter organized 6 educational events, including our first event in the state of CT in recent memory.  One of the educational events was a joint effort with ARMA Boston, strengthening a relationship with that fine organization. In addition, we held a purely social event in December that was well attended and may come to be dubbed with the “first annual” moniker. We supported the AIIM International ECM Roadshow last September and we held the very successful 17th Annual Golf Tournament and Dinner in support of the Horace Mann School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. But wait, there’s more! In June, the Chapter conducted AIIM’s ECM Practitioner Class for a small but extremely enthusiastic group of students in Waltham, MA.

So, a big Thank You to everyone who worked so hard to plan and produce these events, and a round of thanks to all of you who participated in these events. “Participated” is the right word, not “attended” because every event was successful due to combination of a timely theme, great speakers and thought-provoking interaction from the audience. That’s what AIIM NE is all about, and we should all be very proud for what the Chapter accomplished last year.

The Chapter Executive Board is currently planning the 2012-13 Chapter year, and we hope to continue to build on our recent success. We could use some help though; we need input, we need people who are willing to pitch in and help organize events, recruit sponsors and attend to the behind-the-scenes details that keeps the Chapter engine humming. Most of all, we need your continued support – renew your membership and plan on attending some of our events.

Pay careful attention to your inbox. We are trying to go easy on you, but we recently sent a request for you to complete a planning survey, and we will soon be sending you information about the first events of the New Year. If you didn’t get the survey request, shoot me an email and I will send you the details.
